Saint Barnabas Medical Center Is Only Hospital In New Jersey To Offer Clinical Trial For The Treatment Of Recurrent Chest Wall Breast Cancer

Some patients who suffer from recurrent cancer at the chest wall now have another option. The Radiation Oncology Department at Saint Barnabas Medical Center is one of a few hospitals nationwide to participate in a study which combines the use of the heat-sensitive chemotherapeutic agent ThermoDox® with microwave hyperthermia, or heat. New MRI Technique Could Mean Fewer Breast Biopsies In High-Risk Women

A University of Wisconsin-Madison biomedical engineer and colleagues have developed a method that, applied in MRI scans of the breast, could spare some women with increased breast cancer risk the pain and stress of having to endure a biopsy of a questionable lump or lesion.
